ANNOUNCEMENTS

It’s a normal day at Barkdogwood High School until, during the morning announcements, Barney asks his all-time crush Lexi to Homer-Coming, the Simpsons-themed homecoming dance. Unfortunately, Barney won’t hear his answer until 9th period Christian Science class, and he fears he made a big mistake asking Lexi. The two weigh their decisions with the help of rowdy classmates, overwhelmed substitute teachers, a beloved gym teacher, and the school’s drama team.

TWO GUYS, TWO GIRLS (PATINA & OUROBORS)

What does it look like when two men write a play for two women, and vice versa?

In this original double feature presentation, two guys — Thomas Frances and Justin Linville — and two girls — Kelly Cooper and Caitlin Dullea — have written plays for their counterparts to perform, Patina and Bird Guys.

PATINA (written by Thomas Frances and Justin Linville) explores the relationship between boss and assistant. Kelly Miller, of the Miller fortune, has hired her first assistant, Caitlin, to help her with her blossoming interior design business. The two struggle to understand each other’s viewpoints until a faulty doorknob leaves them locked in a bathroom for two days. As they shed their boss/employee relationship, they help each other devour their fears.

Written and directed by Thomas Frances, Justin Linville, Caitlin Dullea, and Kelly Cooper.

Their second double featured two new plays by the group: The Bends and Ourobous.

OUROBOROS (written by Thomas Frances and Justin Linville) is set in the near future when it is capable for men and women to completely erase their internet history making them almost undetectable. Moira enters an EraseMe HQ to rid herself of her social history only to reveal a disturbing secret that stops an employee from continuing the procedure.

PATINA premiered at Vital Joint on November 15th 2018

OUROBORUS premiered at The Brick on April 18th 2019
